NEWS AND NOTES:
  • That was a bad way to start the season
  • Bridgeport was favored by 7. Oops.
  • Colin Jones, last years star that went down to injury, had 43 yards on 12 carries
  • Before the game, Breckenridge coach Blake Felt said, “[Colin Jones] is the real deal . He concerns us the most. They have a big line and a good quarterback, but the running back can move.”
  • There were only 13 running plays for the Bulls. Thirty eight plays were passing plays.
  • Josh Mann had a rough night: 12 of 35 for 182 yards with one interception
  • The Bulls managed only 10 first downs
  • Jesse Olmos only caught two passes but put up a lot of yards: 113
  • Braxton Huggins caught four balls for 57 yards
  • There were seven turnovers in the game
  • Breckenridge ran the ball 47 times. In this week's Messenger, the team was described as running the Run And Shoot offense.  Did they not have to throw?
  • Let's see if the Bulls confidence is shot
