• It wasn't too long ago that highway 380 ran right by the courthouse. I mean, right by it. Can you imagine what it would be like if the bypass had not been built?

• Do you like popping bubbles in that packaging material? Knock yourself out.
• One of the funniest videos I've seen (especially in my line of work), is Chris Rock's  "How Not to Get Your A%$ Kicked By The Police". You can watch it here (it will take a while to download) and let me warn you it carries an R rating for language.
• Since it is now State Fair time, it bugs the heck out of me that every local news anchor person has to say "I can't wait to get one of those Fletcher Corny Dogs." Do you think any of them have actually ever had one?
• I went and saw Open Water. Very good. Very dark.
• I finally saw Fight Club after all these years. It doesn't have much to do with guy's fighting but has a whole lot to do with being a really quirky and odd movie. The last scene is incredible.
• Along Came Polly was pretty funny.
  
• One of my favorite lines from the movie (which is a comedy) is something that's not funny at all: "It's not about what happened in the past, or what you think might happen in the future. It's about the ride . . . . There is no point in going through all this crap, if your are not going to enjoy the ride. And you know what... when you least expect something great might come along. Something better then you even planned for.

• This is another video/cartoon which is absolutely hillarious. It shows a cartoon Bush and a cartoon Kerry taking shots at each other and I literally laughed out loud. Once, again, there is a language advisory.
  
• I'm cheating and actually writing this on the morning of Saturday, October 2, 2004. A cold front has moved through, it's cloudy, and college football comes on at 11:00 a.m. This is absolutely may favorite time of year.
  
• 28 Days Later was a zombie flick that I at actually liked.
  
• A prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's office, Shannon Ross, died in her sleep the other day. It caused me to stop down because she graduated from the same law school in the same year as I did. She was also at the very top of her class.  She was 43.
• Why in the world do criminal trials move so slowly in California? The  Scott Peterson case would be over in Texas in about a week.
